The requirements for becoming a Texas Master Gardener are summarized below:
Trainees must devote a minimum of fifty (50) hours of service during the twelve months following training
classes to earn the title of Master Gardener. If you have questions, check with Dennis Smith for approved services.
To retain the “Texas Master Gardener” title, an additional six (6) hours re-certification training (monthly educational
Master Gardener meetings, spring seminars, etc.) and an additional twelve (12) hours of volunteer services every
year are required.
